On The Newshour Debate, Madhavdas discusses the recent fissures that have now come out in the public. Jammu & Kashmir's People's Conference leader Imran Ansari has accused the People's Alliance of Gupkar Declaration of fielding proxy candidates in the recent DDC polls. The charge has allowed the BJP to hit out at the alliance stating that the so-called gang came together for vested-interest. Imran Ansari has questioned Farooq Abdullah's National Conference of choosing proxy candidates instead of official ones. The leader has also asked for a key meeting to take place in order to discuss this issue. BJP chief of J&K has also hit out at the party, stating that the Gupkar alliance is only power-hungry.

BJP spokesperson Sanju Verma states that the people within the NC are unhappy with the way Farooq Abdullah is taking forward the PAGD as a force. She also adds that the alliance has broken, according to her.
