Top headlines of the day:

1) COVID-19 cases have risen dramatically in India, with 89,129 new cases registered in the last 24 hours. Meanwhile, on april 1, more than lakh doses of COVID-19 vaccine were administered, the highest single-day coverage ever.

2) CM Uddhav Thackeray cautioned that if Covid-19 cases continue to increase at their current pace, the state's health system will be overwhelmed in the next 15-20 days, and that he will decide on a full lockdown in the next two days.
