Chopped Cheese Sandwich;
2 pounds 80/20 ground beef
1 onion, chopped
salt and pepper totaste
2 packets Sazon seasoning
6 hoagie rolls
24 slices American cheese
shredded iceburg lettuce
1 tomato sliced
Form ground beef into six patties and place in large frying pan (preferably cast iron); seasoning with salt, pepper and Sazon packet. Once the first side of beef is brown, turn over and season with salt, pepper and second Sazon packet. Add onions to pan. Once beef is cooked through, chop into bite size pieces and mix with onions. Portion out 1/6th of meat in part of the pan, cook until meat browns up; then place 4 slices of cheese on top and melt. To put sandwich together; toast top and bottom of roll, spread mayonnaise on inside of bun, place meat/cheese mixture inside, drizzle on ketchup. add lettuce and tomato.
This recipe can easily be scaled up or down, depending on your size of family.
